The songs of Leeds United --> Track 14

Tony, Tony Yeboah

This song is a tribute to a great player from a few years back. Tony Yebaoh was out of the Leeds team for a long time and finished his Leeds career in a sad way, but his goals will be remembered forever (especially those against Liverpool and Wimbledon). This is the B-side of the CD-single released in 1996, before the Coca Cola Cup final at Wembley that year (the A-Side being "Wembley Mix '96"). Rather like the singles from the Ronnie Hilton era, this is just a reworking of a traditional tune, and was derived from a terrace chant (which also used to be used for Imre Veradi, amongst others).

These are not the most taxing lyrics you'll ever see...!
